Hi, my name is Forest! I was raised as an ethical vegetarian from birth, and experienced first-hand the benefits of whole-food, plant-based nutrition without ever having consumed meat, fish, or eggs. As I entered adulthood and my passion for health and fitness grew, I learned more about the profound impact our diet and lifestyle choices can have, both on our personal well-being and that of the planet. I made the switch from vegetarian to a fully vegan lifestyle in early 2015, and haven’t looked back since! From a personal, ethical, and environmental perspective, I believe that veganism is truly the way of the future, and the most responsible choice we can make as conscientious citizens of the earth.

Over the course of my fitness journey, I’ve been fortunate enough to work and train alongside some of the top plant-based athletes and coaches in the industry. Foremost among these is Derek Tresize, WNBF Pro Bodybuilder and founder of Vegan Muscle and Fitness. I very am thankful to have had the opportunity to work as a personal trainer and online coach under his mentorship, and I am proud to continue our professional relationship to this day.

The desire to challenge myself and to represent vegan fitness at a competitive level motivated me to become a member of Team PlantBuilt, the largest organization of vegan athletes in the world. I realized a lifelong dream by stepping onto a bodybuilding stage for the first time at the Naturally Fit Super Show in June 2017, where I won first place in my class against a stacked lineup of omnivorous competitors. Since then I have gone on to compete at the ICN Melbourne Championships in May 2018, where I was honored to bring home first place in my class once again.

In conjunction with my physical pursuits, I am committed to staying abreast of the latest fitness and nutrition research so that I can achieve the best possible results, both for my clients and myself. In 2017 I completed a Certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition from the T Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies and Cornell University, which was a fantastic opportunity to learn from pre-eminent plant-based experts in the medical and fitness communities.

Leading by example is one of my core values, and I enjoy breaking stereotypes and drawing positive attention to the vegan movement by being a visibly strong, fit, plant-based role model. I find it very fulfilling to put my knowledge and experience to use, helping like-minded individuals both here in Australia and worldwide to reach their full potential and enrich their quality of life. Whether you are already vegan, or simply interested in a more plant-based approach, I am happy to work with you! Together I am confident we can tackle your most ambitious fitness goals — one bite, one step, and one rep at a time.
